Michael Gregor has spent the last decade organizing for social justice. He got an early start at age 16 by leading an environmental sustainability club and educating fellow students about progressive politics. By the age of 19, he founded an innovative affordable housing organization in Kalamazoo, Michigan that is owned and governed by its residents. He honed his organizing skills and quickly became a leader among his peers working on environmental issues, labor rights, and anti-racism education. He earned a degree in Public Policy, Nonprofit Leadership, and Environmental Studies with honors. After serving as Kalamazoo Collective Housing's founding Executive Director, Michael moved on to Equality Michigan to advance equality for Michigan's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender residents.

Today, Michael offers digital strategy consulting at The Work Department, a collaborative firm of activists, designers, and web developers. He helps social justice organizations and small businesses tell their stories through strategic online organizing and media relations. He is deeply dedicated to racial equity, community development, and LGBT equality. He is an avid facilitator, writer, photographer, and entrepreneur.
